The "M Coat" treatment refers to a Teflon-based lubricating film treatment developed by Maruemu Manufacturing Co., Ltd. as a measure to prevent seizing of stainless steel bolts and nuts. Tests conducted on stainless steel bolts and nuts treated with "M Coat" under conditions prone to seizing (3° wedge) showed that they could be tightened without seizing. Even after five repeated tightenings, no seizing phenomenon occurred, and no abnormal "galling" was observed on the threaded surfaces of both the bolts and nuts.
